Does the oven method (400 degrees) spatter a lot? I'd hate for what happens on the stovetop to take place inside my oven.

Microwave 1 min per slice. Take off plate immediately and put on paper towel. Perfectly crispy every time.

Not at all. It works perfectly every single time. I do 400 for around 16 or 17 minutes.

A rectangular type flat (cookie sheet) type pan with a small raised edge so the grease won't run off. I usually just spray it with a little olive oil or coconut oil spray to keep the bacon from sticking.

I have an old George Foreman in the cabinet that I use solely for bacon. I cut the slices in half, put them on there cold, plug it in and just let 'em go until they're flat and crispy.

Don't have to watch it, nearly impossible to overcook that way, and by the time they're ready, I've made eggs, hash browns, grits, biscuits, ... whatever else I'm making.

Bacon on a sheet pan goes in to a cold oven. Crank it up to 400 for about 20-25 minutes. Blast it with the convection for the last 1-2 mins. Perfect bacon every time. I like Wright brand btw.

I stove top cook my bacon always. I like the smell, and the unique shape and texture it gives each piece.

I line the pan with parchment and cover with parchment so there is no mess at all. Pour grease off into a jar and put parchment paper in trash.

This is an interesting thread to me. I had no idea bacon from the oven was so popular. I have always cooked it on the stove on low medium heat in its own fat turning and moving it around often.

We have been doing to oven method for a few years - eveyone love the crisp bacon.

Cold oven - line baking sheet with foil - load up with bacon - put in oven - crank up oven to 400 - cook for 18 to 20 minutes.

Start with a cold oven - works better!!

Rimmed baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Convection roast at 375F for about 20 minutes. (got a batch going now)

This method doesn't put much odors in the house and also produces perfectly clean bacon grease to be saved to fry the eggs, rub on potatoes prior to baking or other purposes.

this way!

My wife is our bacon cook. She microwaves it on a plate sandwiched between lots of paper towels. Hit it for a couple minutes and check, micro more until done.
