gypsy poet, grace, and coastline are all much better for pizza, and places like coltivare, sofia, and crisp do it much better as well. rosie cannonball and coltivare are awesome well-rounded italian meals.

I’m going to veto Gypsy Poet. No olives (for an Italian dish), serves the basil as a side stem to put on your damn self?

The crust was good. Sauce…meh.

Vinnie’s Pizza (owned by the Coltivare people) is better.

Elro has the best pizza I've had in Houston recently.

Better than Nonno's, Gold Tooth Tony's...haven't been to Coastline yet, but it's on the radar.

i've been more than once before astros games and haven't shared in the good experiences. different type of pizza but it's a million miles from gypsy poet quality for my palate.

Don't skip the spicy cucumbers and be sure to grab a crudo.

If “fine” is what it is in Houston, it’s the same in Atlanta.

Go to Candente for some Brisket Enchiladas and then next door to the PItt Room. Owned by the same company.

gotcha. i wouldn't throw my nose up at it even amongst the texas tex-mex scene, so i can't imagine it isn't at least mid-tier or better for atlanta. maybe it's regarded differently out your way.

eta: it's sister restaurant next door in houston is balling.

oh yeah. whole menu is solid and fun

couple mezcal margs, oysters, fish collars du jour, chicken & biscuits, and fries + oyster mayo would be a pretty solid last meal

It is good for Atlanta. Because the Tex Mex scene here is very weak.
But I’d never go there by choice if I’m in Texas.

It's some of the worst food I've ever had at $30+ a person.

It was a frequent stop for O&G in the Energy Corridor. It was awesome when we used to go there. Can't believe it's fallen off that much but haven't been in almost a decade.
