Martinis in the winter ... gin & tonic in the summer ... get some fever tree tonic ... if you can find it, get some ransom old tom gin instead of that cucumber crap

Thank you, But I'm not the one being a judgemental homophobe.

I drink Gin every way possible with the exception of "bleu cheese stuffed olives".

Tell me, how can you criticize 'not needing that ghey stuff' and in the same breath recommend bleu cheese stuffed olives? That seems a bit hypothetical & contradictory.

Anyway, lesson of the day is; don't violate or you'll get violated.

Peace be with you Chappy!

Hmmm..... the vermouth I have has been in the liquor cabinet for ever. I'll replace it tomorrow and see if that helps.

Truer words ne'er be spoken.

Gin and tonic.

50/50 and a little lime.

Classic easy drinking cocktail. Don't love either in their own but together they work.

Vermouth is a fortified wine. "They" say you should refrigerate opened vermouth, and even then it stays good only several weeks.

Love gin

Try it with ginger ale and a healthy squeeze of lime.

Or ginger beer.

Kinda girly, but French 75s turned gin from my most reviled liquor to my favorite. The combo--gin, lemon juice, sugar, & champagne--sounds gross, but it's amazing. Now, I can appreciate gin in more simple drinks, like G&T.

You like it, or you don´t. Some are much better than others. Preparation as well, is important.

You probably need the floral types, tonic, and some slight embellishment.

Hendricks or Bombay Sapphire and Tonic with a lime wedge for the win anytime, everytime. It's a classic man's cocktail.

I'm sure this is bs but I always heard Hendricks and tonic is meant to be served with cucumber and not lime. I doubt it really matters though.

Why bother? You have a beverage that you like, so stick with that.

1st post and expecting some abuse. It sounds backwards but with Gin and Tonic it is generally a good idea to select the gin based on what you'd like to Garnish it with. Ex: Hendricks Cucumber, Beefeater and Lemon (not lime) Tanq and lime. Tanq 10 and grapefruit, Plymouth and Orange or Lime.
All gins though have multiple botanicals and will work with various garnishes but a wrong garnish and bad tonic can turn you back to vodka.
