so he remembers the good old days of Bailey's being WAYYYY better and kicking Cane's arse?
I did like Bailey's.

Hard to imagine there has been inflation in the last 20 years, increased advertising expenses, more overhead and they passed it on to the consumer. Nobody ever does that.

Good thing he doesn't pump millions back in to the community as a way to say thank you.

People that hate on Canes and Walk Ons are the worst form of jealous little liberal wealth distributors I have ever seen. They will claim to be these ultra conservative capitalist types on this board, but lose their mind over a couple of locals who started their own business to become millionaires. If you dont like their food, dont go there. But your jealousy and bitching about prices reeks of a butthurt liberal who wants a piece of the pie they didnt make

I wouldnt care if you said his food sucked. But when y'all bring the prices and small fingers and moving to dallas crap it comes off as pure jealousy of someone who has done better in life. It is obvious to everyone reading this thread

The Dallas thing made a lot of folks mad. Chick Fil A stayed in Georgia, in and out is operating out of California. No need to move out of state. If BR wasn't sufficient he could have moved to NOLA before Dallas.

Headquarters is still in BR.

The personnel he wanted to help facilitate the growth/future expansion was located in Dallas, so he set up an office there.

There were some tax incentives as well. Which is interesting so many on here would be mad at a guy trying to pay less in taxes

Like Todd or hate him, the area outside of Dallas is the mecca for chain restaurant HQs. It's like trying to be a major financial company and not having an office in New York, Houston, or San Francisco. This is where the talent lies, this is where the players do business.

Think of O&G. For every company that still keeps some address in a little town in south Louisiana, the real business office is in Houston.

You can deny it all you want, but when people start saying the most ridiculous crap about a self made millionaire, the jealousy ooooozes through. You can see the hate and anger through the computer screen

No, it is that most people are hypocrites, including myself. We all like to be capitalist conservatives when someone is trying to take our money, but we sure get jealous and angry over someone who has more than us, to the point we dont think he deserves it

Yes, and the Queen of the Netherlands pumped my gas at a Shell station.

it has gone down hill over the last 4-5 years IMO.

Cane's does have the best employees though.

I had Guthries in Orange Beach last weekend. Wasn't as good and more expensive.

Canes all the way.

News roundup: Raising Cane's takes top chicken chain award

quote:

No. One (Love): Baton Rouge-based Raising Cane's edged Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's to take top honors as the No. 1 chicken chain in a recent survey of North Americans' favorite quick-service restaurants. The survey was conducted by Market Force Information in February with 6,197 respondents in the U.S. and Canada. "Raising Cane's also performed well in the service-oriented attributes, including snagging the top spot for fast service," reads a press release accompanying the survey results, released today. See the full list of North Americans' favorite fast food chains.
