Has IHOP lost their frickin mind?

It used to be a good place to go for a cheap meal. Their prices are absolutely insane now. This is at the nearby Rogers, Arkansas location. Who is paying these prices? They have a “value” menu, but don’t offer it online and do everything possible to hide it from dine in customers.

What's wild is a friend of mine has a franchise up north. The cost for their pancake stacks is something like 36 cents.

TBH. Their Pancakes are really good.
But yeah, there prices have always been more expensive.
But honestly. The food tastes better.

Bingo. The Denny’s in Bossier has way cheaper prices and I have never had bad service there. Wife and I go about once a month. Usually take a couple of the grandkids with us. Service is great every single time whether they are super busy or not.

Yes, they have. Used to be packed on Sunday with people waiting for a table. Now it’s practically empty, in addition to rising prices the quality of the food itself has deteriorated.

But you dont have to fight at waffle house.
They burn through cooks.
You start looking for that "cook" that wont butcher your eggs and actually cook the ham and jalapenos. Plus the Meat, burgers, steak, chops, chicken, it all taste bad. Ive been 4x in the last 10 days.
Buddy, it hasnt gotten any better. In the last 5 years. The waffles got smaller.
But you dont have to fight at waffle house.

Waffle House is very location dependent.
The one closest to me (#1487) has been a shite show since COVID. Their whole staff has turned over, and they are all amateurs who are in over their head. They can't handle the rush. And they seem to have a 2 to 1 ratio of to-go orders to dine-in orders. You walk in and the place is full of people waiting, but there's open tables. It really screws up the dine in experience. Also, the clientele at the location are rude and obnoxious to each other and staff. It's just not a good experience during a rush. Rushing out food not quite done. Orders fricked up in general. I don't recommend that location during a busy time.
The next closest one in Loganville is very good. Store #762, one of the OG Waffle Houses. They can handle the rush and they remember your name and your order after just one visit.
The next next closest one is perfect. Store #1704 on Hwy 78. No matter how busy they are, they are on point and working like a well oiled machine. I just hate the geographical location on the edge of Snellville Hell on 78.
A well-run Waffle House is hard to beat.
I haven't been to IHOP in a long time. In high school, the smoking section was pretty much a delinquent juvenile hangout (raises hand). As an adult, every time I've been, it's slow to get a table. Then slow to get served. Just everything in slow motion. And it's expensive, always has been.
Give me Waffle House every day of the week.

Agree that Waffle House and Denny’s both beat IHOP and those portions are enough for 2 people at least so the prices aren’t really as bad as it looks.

Here in Utah, Colorado Omelette with toast or hashbrowns is $15.84 after tax
