Yep, tried it. As far as fast food goes, it was good. Unfortunately my favorite is the Filet-O-Fish so I'll get downvoted for that. It's not the filet at McD's that I like, it's the steamed bun they use. I've always liked it.

I agree the bun makes this fish sandwich the best....however I find most fast food fish sandwiches to be...mystery fish

I was pumped after seeing the ad for it. I had one last week and thought it was so-so.

Got a fresh one this weekend. Didn’t have to pull up after paying. Must’ve been an aberration. Thought it was very good, but the pickles made no sense.

I posted about it in another thread. I’d rather have a flounder basket. It was okay. I love pickles with fried fish so I liked that.

Better than McDonalds
Will it be a seasonal thing or permanently on the Popeye's menu?

I'll take mystery fish over mystery meat every day of the week.

Popeyes hit a grandslam with the chicken sandwich 18 months ago. But the recent chocolate stuffed beignets and this fried fish sandwich are flops.

The one I got tasted almost identical to a McDonald's Hot n Spicy. Very odd.

I had one a few weeks ago. Thought it was better than other fast food fish items. I'd actually probably get it again. 7/10.

I assume they use the same bun that’s used for the chicken sandwich.... said bun is by far the best in the fast food industry

Says it’s wild caught Pacific. Interesting. Didn’t realize they could source wild flounder in commercial quantities.

If you pay with the app you can get sandwich insurance for .15 and if you don’t like the fish they will give you a chicken sandwich.
