How does that place stay open? Who the frick pays for a chicken salad sandwich? Just make one at home it’ll probably be better anyway.

Could say the exact same thing about Starbucks... Both cater to the exact same demographic too.

Chicken salad chick is good, but has gone downhill.

Why does any place like that stay open?

Following your logic, you could make your own sandwich, hotdog, soup, pasta, etc at home.

Wife likes it so we go once or twice a year. Pimento Cheese BLT is pretty legit.

I wouldn’t eat there regularly though. Suburban white women keep it open.

I've been a few times and it's okay. I like my chicken salad better, but I'm not always in the mood to make it nor do I want to eat it every day until it runs out. Sometimes, I just have a craving for it and once I have it, that's it, I'm done. However, I made the Neiman Marcus chicken salad last weekend and we ate that one multiple times. It wasn't in a sandwich. I love the mix of the mayo and the whipped cream folded in.

The one near me constantly has lines in the drive thru. CSC can be a good quick meal.

I've never been in one. But my wife buys it and sometimes I'll find it in the fridge and destroy it. Much to her chagrin

I've had it a hundred times at events/gatherings, I think most of their business comes from large pickup orders.

Yep. It was on the rotation for lunch with two of my coworkers pre-retirement. My order was a pimento scoop and a chicken salad scoop and I brought my own parm crisps to go with. They ordered soup and sandwich combos.

I’ve eaten there and think it’s good.

I have and it's not bad at all. They have several types of chicken salad and their pimento cheese BLT is quite good. Their party trays are good for when you need to send food to a funeral or whatever.

I took my mom to the original location, in Auburn, and when I walked in, I knew it would make it. It was jam-packed with middle-aged and older women and sorority girls. They have about 280 stores now.

Place “like that?”

How does a high end steak house stay open?
$75 for a ribeye and a baked potato. And some overpriced wine.
Chicken salad chick has more unique and difficult to make offerings.

Suburban white women. They’ll get a crumble cookie or nothing bundt cake for dessert

Enjoy your dry bologna sandwich on day old bread and grocery store ice milk for dessert.

Napoleon complex or poverty? Can’t decide with which you and some of your obviously manly compadres are afflicted.

Jalapeño Holly sandwich with toasted bread and a cup of soup is a good lunch.

Good place, but their toasted bread looks like the toast pattern was printed on the bread.

I always found this odd.

Good, fresh, not fried. It’s not on the top of my list, but I enjoy it on occasion. Scoop of Kickin Kaye Lynn, Lemon Basil, and usually the rotating flavor- right now it’s Parmesan Caesar and it’s REAL good.

I make chicken salad, too, but I use cream cheese instead of mayonnaise, so it’s pretty different
