Nah, posters criticize and don’t like you because you’re a pretentious douchebag.

Hour later, get seated. Waitress comes over to let us know they're out of ribeyes, out of ham (for cuban sandwiches), out of sweet potato fries, and out of burgers. We could still get a burger but it would be two "kids' patties" stacked and they had to be cooked well done.

This place doesn't have a very extensive menu. She basically eliminated half the entrees by listing those items missing from stock. We all decided to call an audible and head out for sushi.

On the way out, I had to stop by to speak with the hostess. When we put our name on the list, and proceeded to wait an hour for a table, not once did she mention they were out of anything. Like, maybe it's just me, but it seems that telling a party of 8 that's about to wait an hour for a table that you're out of several main menu items is, I don't know, kind of her job?

I told her what I thought about the way she was doing her job and how her inability to do her job cost 8 people an hour on a Saturday night. Head chef happened to be walking by and asked what was going on. He half-heartedly agreed with me, apologized for being out of food, and walked away saying he hopes we come back.

The average hostess probably doesn’t even have a clue what’s going on in the kitchen. You yelled at the wrong person bruh

This is a pretty well done troll job. You’ll fool a good bit of people into thinking this is a true story.

I don’t think you should have cussed out the server for the lack of product at the restaurant. That’s the manager’s job. However, you’ve pointed out something commonplace with wait staff, particularly those of college age up to approaching thirty; whether busy or not busy, and there are customers waiting to be served or waiting for a check; and that is them standing around, yapping with other servers or their favorite clientele, or on their phones in plain sight. That is what I have a problem with, and will tell them sternly, followed by the manager.

Also, blame Biden for the lack of supply and product. I mean, it’s true.

Congratulations, you cussed out a young lady making about $8/hr. Instead, you could have been a man about it and talked to the manager, but he might call your bluff.

Wait, you decided to cuss out the hostess over this? The person with the least knowledge and responsibility about what's going on in the kitchen?

There's your mistake.

You've never been out to eat and run into a server/hostess that deserved a stern expression of how bad they are at their job? Really?! I find that impossible to believe

Bet they've stiffed a tip. Talked to a manager. Asked for something to be comped.

Yikes.

When he said “family”, he really meant him, his wife, and her 6 boyfriends. You can understand his frustration.

A couple of things here:

1. Don't treat people like shite. You don't like it when it happens to you so don't do it to them

2. Yes, they could have communicated better

3. Do not go out to eat right now if you haven't understood what your electronic jewelry tells yoy every day. Labor shortages and supply chain issues do not go away because you got hungry

Took the family and some friends out to dinner Saturday night, party of 8. Restaurant wouldn't take reservations so we showed up around 745 and got our name on the waiting list. One hour wait, not too bad for a Saturday night so we wait it out.

I'm completely in the right thinking this hostess screwed up, right? If not her, then it was the chef for not telling her? Either way, not cool.

Wow. What kind of pretentious dickbag does something like that?
