I never got around to eating there but this guy sounds like a drama queen. Chefs know all about the grind before they get into cooking.

That is surprising, I really liked the food there.

There must be more to this story than the time management aspect. A lot of money was spent building out that place.
Damn shame, food was always good.

Wadsworth has like 6 kids. I just cannot understand how they expand a few weeks ago and now they're closing?
I ate lunch there yesterday. Explains the terrible service. Food was ok.

The name of the place was not immediately appealing. My guess is that ain't the only bad business decision here.

Purely speculation but maybe his home life with the wife was falling apart?
It can happen especially when one spouse is always gone.

I'm sure that is more to the story. I never saw it very busy and if I remember correctly he has 4 young children. You have to shove a lot of chicken and waffles out of the door to tote that kind of note.
I thought he had too much on the menu. If it was pared down and focused on fewer items done very well it might have gone better. But that's just my thought. Who knows? He could just be overwhelmed as it seems he left IPO for the same reasons if I remember correctly.
But on the plus side, an old beat up building was renovated and is now set up as a restaurant so hopefully something better will fill the space. And Curbside being almost across the street should actually help.

They charged me $14 for shite-batch ghost, so I never went back.

The food was good but yea he does come off like that.
Seems more to the story than what's told.

Yea if I were to ever open up a business, I'm not going to name it something that looks and sounds exactly like a current disease(unless I'm curing said disease).

Went once, they pushed Monroe wine on me, and just so happened to be out of every other label. Also got served 2 of the same dish on the chef selection deal.

Good location.
Name was awful
Food was average at best and portions were way too small

Not too mention pretty full of himself. Talks about accomplishments and successes but only cooked at a couple failed restaurants

I ate here about 5-6 times since they have been open and his wife was there working the FOH each time.
I liked it for what it was and will be sad to see it close, but something is weird about this.

Went there once and had a horrible experience: piles of dirty glasses and dishes stacked up on the bar, servers stopping to pick up tips and not bus tables. We left without ordering food

We went last summer during restaurant week. I got a pork belly dish that was terrible... all belly and no pork.

I got the fat back and it was legitimately blocks of fat. Otherwise, everything we had was very good.
I've been harsh on this chef because I think he tries too hard with his plating and overambitious dishes, but I'm sad to see this place go. The crab pizza and the crawfish waffles are awesome.

I went once with my wife. I think we got 8-9 courses. Everything was great except for that pork belly. Same thing you just said, basically a big chunk of fat. I couldn't even finish it. I was hoping I just got a bad piece, but I guess that's how they serve it.

They only have a dish that is just pork fat. Yall might have gotten that. We went and ordered it and regretted the second we took a bite.

This was the pb&j or whatever. I thought it was belly.
Either way, it was terrible
