Good Casual Dining Options Between Slidell and Biloxi

So Arse's thread revealed to me how supposedly pedestrian the Shed is compared to other barbecue.
That's unfortunate because I planned on stopping at the Ocean Springs location on my way to Dauphin Island Saturday. I was really looking forward to some good barbecue.
What are some quality choices within close proximity to I-10 that you would recommend?

None that don't already have ketchup on the table

See the thread I started yesterday on Cannella in Bay St Louis. It's a Ital/German spot getting some better than decent reviews.

Depends on what you are looking for....
The blind tiger has good atmosphere, but the food is serviceable.
Canellas is pretty good stuff.
Thai Sakura isn't bad as well.
You can always hit tripanis as well for casual type stuff.
Old cuevas will be opening soon I assume and there is sycamore house. All of these in the bay. Pass Christian has bacchus on the beach which is pretty good. A little nicer deal, but they won't kick you out for shorts and sperrys...
Gulfport has a lot of not to be desired... I do kinda like Tonys pizza though.

Canellas does look like an interesting option.
However, I think I would prefer some barbecue or seafood because we will be traveling around lunch time.
I am not as concerned with the atmosphere as I am with having a quality meal.

What does this mean? Seafood/BBQ = lunch... Italian/German = not lunch?
Legitimately curious. I've never heard of one being exclusively lunch-esq.

The way I figure it is that something loaded in carbohydrates will sit heavy on my stomach which is not a particular feeling I desire during the middle of the day.
Aside from that, I honestly don't have much of a legitimate reason for such cuisine-related methodology.

I can't think of anything heavier than BBQ for lunch on a hot day.

BB's has good BBQ. I usually get the chopped beef and it routinely great.
For poboys go to Lil Joe's.
If you want trout you can stop at Trapani's...Some amandine and a beer would do you good.
All these are in BSL, but you should drive old 90 on the beach anyway.

Murky water bbq in downtown os is 1000x better than shed. Plus great beer selection and great downtown area
Sal and mookies, adventures bar and grill, and half shell are all great in Biloxi and right off interstate ;across from beau and hard rock)
Reef and shaggys are fun in biloxi on beach

All of these seem to be pretty popular on Urbanspoon and Yelp. Half Shell looks particularly appealing and seems to have a good view.

I've never been impressed with 1/2 Shell in Gulfport, maybe the Biloxi location is better though.
Drive Hwy 90 from from I10, stop in Bay St Louis. Bouy's, 200 N Beach, Trapanis, The Blind Tiger all at the Marina...you won't want to leave.
