For us regular folk a bottle is around $12. For rondo free because he has a spigot coming right out of Andrew's nutsack where the Parrish flows like wine

750ml, one of my few problems with the beer. Too much for one sitting if you are by yourself.

Thus far I've only had it on tap the day it was kegged. That's why I rank it so high. I thought it was fantastic then. The nose and mouthfeel were the best parts, but both of those aspects were behind abrasive and heady, respectively.

I'll snag a bottle for this weekend and test it out. Very good chance it'll fall out of my top 10.

I know I'll be dismissed as a homer, but I'd have no problem putting GITM up next to Double Jack or Pliny or Abrasive as a top tier DIPA. I'll open an Abrasive tomorrow and do a side by side blind comparison and report back.

Its a great beer, but you're being a homer. I agree that its the best ipa in the southeast, but its not quite top tier imo.

since this is a homer thread, I'll go ahead and say that Great Raft Ermaghad Hops DIPA is better than GitM. It will be bottled soon, and you all will be converts.

There.

Hmm... My SiL owes us some Great Raft. Keep us updated on that.

I have one in the fridge, but like FT said it is a big bottle and I don't want to open it to drink by myself. Hopefully this weekend I'll bring it to a wedding and share

It's not that high altitude. I've finished 2 bottles by myself now pretty easily, on separate occasions of course.

I'm having a tasting next week where I'll have Heady, Pliny and Abrasive on hand to compare with GiTM and what I consider FL's best DIPA which is Due South's Cat 5. Will have 8-10 folks in attendance and will be interested to see what their take is.

Gotta be honest, paying $13 for an IPA would be a serious turn off for me.

Gonna be a good week.

Tampa Bay Beer Week kicks off Saturday.

Tuesday is the 5 Beers for 5 Years Dinner at CCBrewpub.

Thursday is a tasting at my place.

Friday is Barrel Aged beer day at Cycle/Peg's Cantina. The bottle share is going to be incredible.

Saturday is Hunahpu Day at CCB. 150+ beers on tap and all you can drink.

Sunday is Hunahpu's Hangover Day at 7venth Sun.

Monday is going to be rough!

After having it again last night, I really have no qualms about putting it in Double Jack's category. And I like Double Jack at least as much as I like Pliny. We're talking degrees of awesomenss here.

Some of you are suffering from anti-homerism, in that you don't want to believe a locally produced beer can be as good as the great ones you've had from other parts of the country. The bottle I had last night was phenomenal. It's everything I want in a DIPA.
