regardless, people arent hoarding them. they are also usually the first store to sell out of special release beers like this.
i was at the overpass area and got a text saying bet r had them. walked in at 2pm and we got 2 four packs.
BR just doesnt get that much of it.

clearly you dont understand the calandros rare matrix
i had another ghost before heading out to dinner last night and it was a tad better than a few days ago. i doubt it had anything to do with hops fading in that short a period of time. probably just my tastebuds.
i still think they need to pick a recipe and stick with it, whether it be dank or juice.

Yet the Government Calandro's managed to sell 4-packs for $13.99, which is pretty much the going rate whenever I've seen it in Texas and Alabama.

yea it's safe to say they operate a little differently between those two stores in that aspect. they did the same 3.99 single crap with death by coconut

I think we can all agree that Calandro's Perkins, and Hocus Pocus-Prairieville are a bit overpriced on their beer. I don't think that's a secret. And what the hell happened to Alexander's Market? Their beer selection went to complete shite the last year and a half.

One thing the periodic releases of top notch beers like GitM and G&G do is pretty much guarantee that if you buy one at a retail outlet, it will be FRESH. At least you know you are comparing apples to apples when trying to remember how a particular beer tasted.
I can see how people who drank multiple 4 packs of a particular beer over a period of time can remember the difference between batches. I don't think it's reasonable to be able to pick out subtle difference between batches if you've only had one bottle of two different batches that were a year apart.

It probably helps that there are only two candidates for top tier IPA/DIPA in Louisiana market so its fairly easy to remember one batch to the next and the ones that stand out.
Plus as far as Ghost is concerned the differences between batches aren't what most would refer to as 'subtle' the hop profile on that beer is all over the place.
