What did you guys think of this batch?
I have only had batches 5,6,7, and 8. I feel like this was the worst one by far. It just has this slight funk aftertaste that I do not enjoy. I had batches 7 and 8 side by side at the brewery the other day and batch 7 blew this one out of the water. I have drank this batch on tap, out of a bottle, and out of crowlers and I have tasted the weird aftertaste with every sip.

What are your thoughts on the current batch? Anyone else experiencing this weird aftertaste?

The goat nectar can have some off flavors during the winter months. That's due to the higher levels of dead grass the goats graze on in the winter.

I've had 5, 6, and 8. 5 was the base for the new Envie and I thought it was great. 6 was meh to me and 8 is great. Waiting on my four packs, but didn't taste anything weird from the tap. Wish I had stopped by the brewery for batch 7. Why is 7 staying around so long?

I find this hard to believe as I watched Andrew take his last leg of batch 7 off and put on batch 8.

i've had every batch except for the last brewery-only and this by far is my least favorite. I wont drink anymore for a week or so and see if some of the dank fades and lets the citrus through some. I really wish they would quit screwing with the recipe. You dont hear much about other breweries constantly fricking with the recipe of their flagship brew 2 years after inception.

Didn't they get some new equipment recently for brewing Ghoast?

Thought I remember someone saying that at GR Day. I may have been drunk or distracted cutting up wristbands.

I'm sure that dank will be the first thing to fade, but that was my favorite part of this batch.

I dont mind a dank IPA. I just dont understand the constant back and forth. One batch is extra juicey, the next is extra dank. Can they really not figure out how to balance the 2 and leave it alone.

Yup I remember hearing about it, isn't that why they can get it out quicker plus more available hops?

They got a new water tank for RO water.

I agree with OP, this batch tastes off. TBH it tastes like it's been watered down and hopped too late.

Edit: Anybody ever figure out what that weird glue-shite is under the bottlecap? Ghost is the only beer I ever see that on.

So is this the second batch in a row that is fricked up?

Thought that was why the December batch stayed at the brewery.

There was a batch that didn't get distributed or sold. It was just a drainpour -- that's what ft is referring to.

ouch...

Not sure what went wrong, but it's great to see a brewery that is so committed to quality of their product that they would rather dump a batch of beer than put out a batch that is below their standards.
