the latter batches have all been different. the first several were pretty consistent until batch 4 if i remember correctly.

Batch 4 was juicy juicy
Batch 5 was chewy with some cat pissiness
Batch 6 was similar to batch 4, although I thought it wasn't QUITE as juicy
Batch 7 was pretty similar to 6, but I didn't have much of it
Batch 8 is pretty dank

Batch 8 compares most closely to batch 5, IMO, so I don't really agree that they are polar opposites.

I don't remember any citrus smell or taste on batch 5 and I get a lot in 8. That's how I felt they were opposites, could be misremembering 5 though. Still pissed I missed 4 by a couple minutes from Steins.

I was there Friday with about 3 other posters. I didn't see Batch 7 on. Only Batch 8.

Perhaps I missed something. I guess. But I doubt it.

Loved it--DANK is my friend. I've had all starting with batch 4 and my preference goes as follows (note I said preference because that's what it is--to some batch 5 was the best bc of the resin/cat piss-ness--to me batch 5 was the least).

Batch 4>6>8>7>5

Batch 6 faded extremely quick--5 held up the best over time. I tried 8,7,6 in that order this weekend. I remember trying 6 when batch 7 came out and thought how quick it faded. Then when I tried this weekend, 7 faded and 6 somehow magically came back. 6>7 currently.

I don't understand how people can trust their tastebuds from 2 years ago to make a fair comparison.

I used to really like Canebrake and now it almost repulses me. SN Pale Ale used to be a go to beer and now I only buy it if left with no options.

I think my tastes have changed and not necessarily the beers. No way I can make an assessment on a beer I haven't had in two years.

They should have named it Justin Bieber cause it's turning grown men into 12 yr old girls.
