Also I don't understand how we have people comparing each batch over this same time frame. Sounds like beer nerds are trying way too hard, which isn't surprising

I think my tastes have changed and not necessarily the beers. No way I can make an assessment on a beer I haven't had in two years.

Ghost has defiantly changed but I really cannot remember the difference other than when it is filtered or not.

Meh, i disagree. I think if you drink enough different beers and appreciate them, you can remember how some tastes. Particularly with ghost due to the fan fair it receives. I've had all of them minus this recent batch. I can't quite recall which batch it was (i think maybe 4 or 5) was very very juicy. I remember another batch being dank as frick. I remember this because i swung by Parish on my way to a bachelor party for my buddy. Grabbed 2 4 pks and 2 growlers and drank the stuff until my tongue was numb. I'm pretty sure that was batch 6. But after that batch, i've lost the urge to go hunting for ghost, as i've severely lost the palate for it.

I also remember a batch i did a tasting with, where i had ghost, heady, grace and grit, and pliny.

Do you remember the best steak you've ever had? Why can't beer be the same? If you are passionate about something, and you want to learn more about it, then i would say you could definitely discern tastes of different batches of beer.

I homebrew, so maybe that's why i'm able to pick out, or remember the flavors more, as when i drink some beers, i make notes in my mind, to try and recreate those beers.

ETA: and it was batch 6 was the tasting, so batch 5 must have been the really dank one. Or maybe it was 4.

I know it may be silly to ask, but what stores/bars can this generally be found at?

in BR on draft i think

Bulldog
Olive or Twist(already gone)
Chimes
Corporate Brew

those are places i frequent that get it on tap.
most of the grocery stores with decent beer selections get the bottles.

same here. not really the changing recipe for me but who wants to drive all over hell to buy 1 or 2 bottles at a time? just not worth it. ive had it twice on draft this week and it was only because the bar happened to have it.

They got a new water tank for RO water. I agree with OP, this batch tastes off. TBH it tastes like it's been watered down and hopped too late.

Hopped too late?
Wut?
