re: Georges or How I was hoodwinked into giving them my money for nothing again

worst thing about George's is how they wait for the food to come out for you to pay. So you are hungry but they are ringing you up when your food is coming out and people are also trying to get their orders in. Very stupid system

My favorite burger place in br

I've been to George's hundreds of times and never had a bad experience.

It's about 50/50 no problem to complete disaster when I go there. I like but it's too expensive for what it is and sometimes I am just too grumpy to put up with their bull shite.

It's a little pricey, but I've literally never had a bad experience at the Perkins or Highland location food or service wise. Got a Reuben and Fried Pickles there on Thursday and it was delicious as always.

It's hard to be sympathetic over someone going to a shite burger place THREE times then saying they will never go back. You clearly understand the average clientele that eat there so I'm not sure what you expect. For someone who was "hoodwinked" by the place, you sure use the word "I" a lot in your decisions.
Oh, and it's mustard on a burger, be a man and scrape it off with a knife

I went there a few times and was unimpressed, even for what it is, which is a typical southern Louisiana poboy/fried shite place. I never went back after Smokie pissed me off with his council representation.

Listened to their holiday choir last night at St Joseph's Cathedral with BR Symphony brass.
I'll give it the benefit of thee doubt based on that.

I have a better idea. Why don't you make my burger like I asked before the THIRD attempt ? You know, because I'm a paying customer and you take pride in your work? And if you mess it up twice maybe you offer to make it right by cooking a new burger instead of a ten minute old cold burger? Failing that, how about you comp the meal so that I'm satisfied?
Or you could say, no bacon for you. Here's some extra mustard. And a knife. frick off. Which is what they did.

I lived in the area for over 10 years and go to that location a 2-3 times a month when looking for something quick to-go. Can honestly say I've had them screw up my order once maybe twice and nothing egregious...adding mayo when I asked for no mayo. Scraped it off no big deal.
Kind of dig the "legit WYHI" waitresses they hire, too.
Did order an oyster poboy and while back and they said it would be $21...went catfish instead.

Once defiled by mustard or pickle, forever ruined.

considering the long list of foods you have never eaten, I'm sure you're picky and have sent stuff back.
Me, I never send shite back, I've picked hair put of food and said "F-it" and chowed down.

You're trying way too hard in this thread

bullshite. Asking for no mustard is a simple request from a paying customer. Scraping mustard off bacon is impossible, and scraping it off the bun takes the mayo with it. You should get what you order/pay for.
And, to all of you who thinks the customer should just 'suck it up,' you can do whatever you like, but it's not your fricking business to tell others what 'they should do.'

George's on G O'Neal is a nasty arse dump. A dive bar doesn't mean a place has to be an unclean smelly shite hole which George's is. And you're right about the legit WYHI, they have a 2 or 3 that could make that list. There's a couple of people that work there that should never ever be allowed to interact with the patrons.
