Yes and before that they had one on Airline Hwy at I-12. IIRC it was located where Celebration Station is now.

It took Red Lobster three tries before it could survive here. Who knows maybe 3rd time will be the charm for Fudruckers.

It was on the frontage road on the northeast side of the Airline/I-12 cloverleaf.

I would honestly rather eat at Whataburger than Fuddruckers. The few times I've had to go there it's been terrible.

Last time I ate at Fudruckers was in Austin, was hungover and it did the job. I use to work near one in Houston for 3+ years, never stopped to eat.

I hate sour pickles and they only offer sour pickles. What happened to dill pickles? Same with Wendy's. Awful communist pickles. I fought a war to keep America safe for dill pickles.

i went a few weeks ago for the first time in a few years and had the same experience. i wondered why i dont go there more.

the burger was terrific. meat was very flavorful, homemade fresh bun, and i love the do it yourself fixin bar.

fries, beer, and a homemade cookie. it also had an arcade for my kids and i watched a baseball game on the TV.

we will be going. shite that sounds good tonight. thanks for the reminder. lol

I remember eating at a fuddruckers, (I think), a few times, down from hooters, close to mansurs, kinda on the way to the big deli and the ice cream place. Am I dreaming?

Eta: why is this anchored? After all, MD fought for dill pickles. Admins, show patriotism, tolerance, and a tad bit of sorrow for the missing burger in BR.

I will say they are somewhat hit or miss. I've been to fantastic ones (Columbus) and ones that were good then went downhill (The Woodlands). There is one in DCA airport and it is pretty good

Not close to Mansurs, it was in the same location as Mansurs is now. I remember thinking it was okay.

I went once or twice. Nothing worth talking about. It's heyday has long past.

The founder of Fuddruckers, Philip J. Romano also created Romano's Macaroni Grill, eatZi's and others. He wrote a book, Food for Thought. It's a pretty interesting read. He seems very impressed with himself and he definitely comes across as an a-hole at times. He will frick over anyone that he doesn't like or anyone he thinks crossed him in someway. Not a dude you want to go head-to-head with.

From Wiki: "Romano was also one of the earliest investors in the heart stent. His initial $250,000 investment returned millions of dollars in royalties."

He also did a lot as far as improving trademark laws. Basically, people were not just doing something similar to his Fuddruckers concept, they were outright doing exactly the same thing. You couldn't tell the original from the copies. So because of him fighting back, trademark laws were changed to prevent that kind of shite.
