Food that you have a love/hate relationship with.

For me it's red beans and rice. Love them, but no matter how much Beano I take, I get horrible gas for days, if Entergy could hook me up I could supply methane to heat a dozen homes for a week. Other legumes affect me, especially black beans, but nothing like what red beans do.

I have the same issue as the OP. I ate red beans earlier today and I've been tuning up all day long.
Even worse is whenever I eat split pea soup. I sound like the soundtrack for the bean eating scene from "Blazing Saddles".

I don't get heartburn much at all....except for when I eat meatball subs. Doesn't matter where they come from...but my esophagus is about to be set on fire.

I can eat spicy food all day long and it doesn't bother me. But if I drink even half a glass of a spiced beer, like one of those holiday beers that come out this time of year, I'll have heartburn like I just drank battery acid.

Nashville hot chicken - love it but absolutely kills my colon the next day. The combo of lots of beer and fried seafood seems to really mess me up too.
