You need counseling. Best wishes.

Mostly the HFCS/sugar content that overpowers the flavors of anything it is served with.

Trader Joes ketchup

Do you think the ingredients in the products at Trader Joe's are typical of what you find in most mass produced American products? A tablespoon of Heinz for example contains a teaspoon of sugars from HFCS.

The picture shows 2g's of sugar in a 17g serving.
There are a few other brands that dont have all the sugar as well.

You could say this about a lot of things. Cereal, peanut butter, jams and jellies, mayonnaise, etc.
Just because some ketchup is crappy, it doesn’t mean it all is. That was your contention.

all you ever do is put ketchup out of a foil packet
That aluminum aftertaste you get from old ketchup in a foil pack is incredible. Nothing better in all of the culinary experience.

To make a blanket statement about the contents of all ketchup is entirely inaccurate.
this is the ketchup we use, very little sugar, no HFCS

I wouldn't go that far; a good aioli is an outstanding complement to fries.
However, American ketchup is a garbage-tier condiment. I can't think of anything other than cocktail sauce that would not be improved by replacing ketchup with something else or omitting it entirely.

I don’t eat enough ketchup to give a shite about the sugar content. . I like it on fries and don’t eat a lot of fries. I’m sure the Honey Boo Boos of the world should give paused to their ketchup consumption. But not me.

It's not a health concern. The issue is that the cloying flavor profile was designed for a child's palate

So you don’t like ketchup and want others to share in your opinion.

It would be fun to track your diet for a month. I’m sure you only eat adult foods.

I don't eat a lot of ketchup, but when I do, I enjoy it.

ketchup goes on burgers and hotdogs, fries and onion rings.
That is about it for me.

Mr. Balls - The Good Old Days version of this post dealt with chili. Then you handed us this wonderful discussion!
How do you do it!
I could do this subject forever. Keep waiting for some to settle their disagreement at the Sonic. I'd drive 3 hours to be there as a witness if/when it happens.
