I am frying fish for a group of people on Sunday. How much do I need per person? (the fish is NOT pre breaded)
I will hang up and listen, thanks.

Of course it depends on a bunch of variables, men, women, children, what else is going to be served, etc... but I would plan on 1/2 pound per person

I agree with what Tigerpaw123 said, but watch out for teens.
They will often eat near their weight in fish if they decide they like it and usually don't touch much of the side dishes to help fill them up.

2-3 people per pound with sides.

Pre frying or post? Cod, for example, loses a shitload during the cook.

I always plan on 1/2lb per person(as previously mentioned). You can ensure this is sufficient by bringing your A game with a shite load of hush puppies/french fries/onion rings prior to frying the fish. Load them down with carbs.

1/ lb per person plus sides is the proper rule of thumb.
