Lol? This dubbel abbey ale is spectacular. Never tasted a beer of quite the same style as this. I will be moving this into the rotation

At my folks house in Shreveport for the first time since last Christmas. When I walk in and get settled my pop asks me what the weird beer is in the fridge. I walk into the kitchen with him and he opens the fridge and from the depths he pulls out a 2011 Pumpkinator. Guess I left one here last year.

Hey Eddie, did you ever make a dent in your beer stock and branch out into Belgians? That conversation seems like years ago.

a little, but not much. i've had the Ommegang Abbey Ale and Three Philosophers. Enjoyed both quite a bit. Suggests on where I should go next?

There are so many good ones aside from the old guard Belgians. Try La Fin du Monde and Maudite by Unibroue and Local 1 and Local 2 by Brooklyn. Solid beers in the Belgian style and relatively easy to find.

How is that beer, Coater? I got two from a friend last night. Waiting on some buddies with our Texas haul. It's going to be a fun night.
