For those that have been, Is bayou teche worth a visit? I know their beer isn't anything great but trying to decide if I should stop at BT or Parish Saturday.

It drinks heavier than an IPA and has the bouquet & flavor profile closely associated with a DIPA. Whatever you wish to call it, it's a damn good beer!

Going on a weekend, Bayou Teche normally has music and a damn nice meal being cooked for customers. Beer, Parish. More than beer, Bayou Teche and it ain't close.

I was there about 6 weeks ago on a Sunday. We were 2 out of maybe 5 customers there, and the two beers we had were really bad. Some of their stuff is drinkable. I don't really think any of it is particularly "good," but some are drinkable. The two we had were decidedly not. After a couple sips we ditched them. As for the more than beer aspect, with the wind coming from the direction it was, the entire outdoor patio smelled like cow shite. Which makes sense given their proximity to a pasture.
I just don't see why anyone would bother going that far out of their way to drink mediocre beer and "enjoy" potentially shitty atmosphere.
