FBD is an Urban South Rectify Porter. A cold brew collab with NOLA's latest coffee roaster, Congregation Coffee.

I don't typically seek out porters, but I could crush this one all day. Urban has been putting out some high quality beers lately (double dry hopped holy roller, citralicious IPA, and now this)

Really liked that double dry hopped.

Are they going to can the coffee porter?

Yes. Debuts at Beignet Fest Saturday, then retail in late October.

Love that glass.

Yo Kim, can you still find the new can DHs in BR? Gonna be visiting a friend this weekend. They're nowhere to found on the Northshore.

Interesting; I've found the Urban South stuff to be very unremarkable.

I just bought a 6-pack of DH canned 9/26 at LeBlanc's on Drusilla/Jefferson.

Thanks!

So they're using a canned on date now, instead of a drink by date?

Correct. The 9/06/16 batch was the first batch with the canned on date.

There was some DH left at aquistapaces last week, but it had a late october drink by date. I guess we haven't gotten the new stuff yet. Although they had some new crowd control so I'm not sure what's up.

Yeah I've seen the DH shelf turds there. Been there for months now. They're too stubborn to put the new cans on the shelf until that old stuff sells I guess.
