Yo Glock, sounds about right for Shiner. Name a beer something "catchy" and only deliver on the very basics of its potential flavor profile. No nuance or deliciousness to speak of. See also: Ruby Redbird.

Yup.. I didn't have higr hopes...didn't have much beer in the fridge so I bought a mixed 6er at the loc store... I pretty much ended up with a bunch of subpar crap.

hilt how was Gunshow?

It was incredible, not sure if you have read anything about it but the food is served dim sum style with 5 or so chefs cooking 2 dishes each night. It definitely lived up to the hype and my gf went ahead and booked us a res for next month.

Eta weather isn't suppose to be great but oysterfest on sat and Sweetwaters anniversary party Sunday are both really good events, I'll be at both

Very good to hear. After you posted you were going I did some research and it looks like a really legitimate spot. Going to make a reservation soon. Headed to Bacchanalia next month so maybe Gunshow will be in April.

Word, I'll monitor the weather and see if I feel like getting out there .. dependent upon the temp and rain .

FBD and first beer in months - Abita Macchiato Espresso Milk Stout.

Not bad at all. Actually it's pretty dang good, and it goes with the weather. 10 degrees outside and dropping with a little snow coming down. I've been sticking with bourbon and scotch lately, but this beer is ensuring I don't regret the switch for the night.
