What you got? I think I remember something on this board about their poboys being good.

I'd hit Chimes or Parrains instead. I've eaten Acme a couple times and was underwhelmed. The chargrilled oysters are OK. I had a fried oyster poboy with olive mix that stands out as one of the worst things I've ever eaten. I don't see that on the menu anymore.

I believe they use Leidenheimer, maybe a regular fried shrimp or debris poboy would be good.

Yeah just don’t over think it. It’s fine for a regular po boy. I generally would get the half po boy and cup of gumbo/bisque.

I can't imagine anyone thinking that could be good to start with, it sounds disgusting.

Peacemaker, oyster and RB poboys are legit. Chargrilled and raw oysters are too. Onion rings are good.

Acme actually does a decent roast beef poboy and a decent gumbo. Neither are the best but they are both pretty good.

Go too Parrians or the chimes instead…..acme is tourist food…..and not the best….portions are way too small for the price…..
Best thing on the menu is raw oysters…

This won’t be a popular opinion, but Acme’s food is actually pretty good. It’s not going to blow your socks off, but it’s solid. The problem is that everything on the menu is priced too high.

That said, the oysters are good. I like both raw and charbroiled. Can’t go wrong with a peacemaker or roast beef Poboy and cup of gumbo.

Yet it was on the menu, then they put it on a plate and served it to me. It was awful, don't do that.

Used to frick up a peacemaker there and roast beef. But I boycotted outside of hiding out for an early afternoon beer because it's always dead around then. They don't use catfish. Instead it's that imported bullshite. Hell the shrimp may be too.

Got the rb poboy and gumbo, and it was solid. I love parrains and have eaten there often, i was in town and trying to mix it up.

Everyone shitting on Acme is being snobby. Acme is above average, not spectacular but overall a good spot.

Perfect meal order (imo):

Chargrilled oysters
Half roast beef poboy/cup gumbo
Cold beer

Fantastic lunch right there.
