It’s an off menu creation but I typically get a Buffalo fried oyster salad with blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits red onions, and ranch dressing.

What do you think is overrated about it? I enjoy most of their menu items. The Friday special shrimp etoufee is very solid IMO

Acme has a fried oyster Caesar salad that is great. I guess I'm in the minority but am a huge fan of Acme. A dozen raw, a large salad with a ton of oysters and a few cold Abita Ambers is a meal fit for this king!

A dozen chargrilled is probably running $30 at the moment for a dozen. Might even be more.
A dozen raw at Phils down the street, which is cheaper across the board, are $22. Thats absurd for oysters

12 oysters, a cup of gumbo, and half a sandwich plus an alcoholic beverage and tip? $40 seems about right, even in BR. At home for me that meal would easily be $70.
To be clear, I’m not advocating that people should spend that every day for lunch. That would be insane. But if you choose to eat lunch there one day, $40 would be completely reasonable for it.

At Phils that order would just be under $50 without tip and with raw oysters. Oysters are just so expensive now.

Wow oysters have gone way up. I didn’t realize that. In that case $40 is a damn steal

4 pound tub of oysters is running $71 plus. Cost on a shelled oyster is around .74 each.
