This could be great. Their brewery is awesome, nice place to grab a bite and a pint but their beer sucks.
"Gayle Benson's Faubourg Brewing merges with 3 others to build regional craft beer powerhouse"
"The financial terms were not disclosed by the two privately-owned companies but they described the deal as "a 50/50 partnership", which would include additional investment by the Benson Group with plans to add more brewing capacity and to acquire additional craft beer companies.
"Our goal is to help New Orleans become as well known for its beer as it is for its cuisine and to see the local craft beer industry continue to grow and create quality jobs,” said Gayle Benson in a prepared statement. “Our partnership with Made By The Water allows us to grow the Faubourg brand, and bring in a partner that is a leader in building craft beer brands."
The Bensons bought Dixie Brewing Company, as it was then known, in 2017 with the promise that it would bring brewing back to the city. Dixie Brewing, founded in 1907, had been operating from its Tulane Avenue facility until Hurricane Katrina forced it to shut down and contract brewing to out-of-state breweries."

I wish they weren't located where they are.
If they were pretty much anywhere but the East I'd go check them out.

Good brewing was already in the city. Foubar just diluted it with more shitty beer to rival the natural lights of the world.

I think it's these 3 breweries based on googling the LLC.

As much as I know about regional beers, I am not familiar with those. Interested to see how this develops.

Oyster City out of Apalachicola is good. Very popular across the Panhandle.

How you gonna get beer when all the CO2 has been contaminated?

Gross beer.
Worst location possible.
Owned by Benson.
Every reason to hate a product all rolled into one.
Would love to see them go out if business, but they wont, cuz Benson $$$
It is fun watching them struggle

The old brand name and logo was literally the only thing of value that the company they purchased had.

Oyster City makes very good beer. Their Mill Pond Dirty Blonde is incredible. Their mango IPA is delicious too.

I wasn't referencing this current acquisition.
I've enjoyed Oyster City beer on visits to the panhandle. Hell, but I may actually be less likely to consider drinking it now, given this.

I’m not sure of the hate either. If they don’t mess with the other beers, and Oyster City makes it’s way to the brewery and Nola, I’d call that a win?
Also, the brewery is right of the interstate, and you go through an industrial section. I’ve never felt anxious, and the facility and space is great for kids/family. They have some decent live music, and great place to let the kids run around and hang out outside.
I live in LV, and have gone there on nice days a good amount in the past. Beer isn’t great, but is no worse than half the brews out there. Being in the East sounds scary, but it’s not the case here.
