Decided to give them a chance today since I’ve heard great things and this was going to be their last day open. Ordered online and got a text saying 25 minutes. Get there and end up waiting close to an hour and a half (see people walk up and order and get food in that time).

Finally get our order and 2/4 items were wrong. Got pork buns and beef and broccoli, and both were tofu version. Tofu and broccoli tasted like straight cigarette smoke. The scallion noodles tasted like eating straight ginger.

Question is, is it fair to leave them a Yelp review and add them to my list of places I won’t go back to, or should they get a pass based on everything happening?

It sucks your order was wrong and you’re right to be upset... but Yelp is the absolute garbage of society and making the effort to leave a shite Yelp review during a pandemic is a special kind of fricked.

I’m sure most here won’t agree with me though.

Today is not the time to be spiteful and leave negative comments when all business are struggling. Just don’t go back until we have some normalcy and I am sure it will be much better.

I went a few months ago. Food is great and it was ready quickly. As others said, leave them alone and move on

Yelp is absolute garbage. Don’t use it, and sure as hell don’t leave a review. Have you not been following their ridiculous decision to auto-create GoFundMe campaigns on behalf of businesses without their permission? Read more about that disaster here: LINK
Sorry you got bad food, but Yelp is truly a trash fire of a company.

Just write them a note

Tbh I could stomach anything else they gave me, even if it was wrong, but I straight up couldn’t eat tofu.

I'd give them a pass personally. I've been before and experienced none of the issues you had. It was a one off order. Sucks, but it happens.

Get the frick off of Yelp too.

I've eaten there a few times and found it to be pretty meh. My wife absolutely loves it, though.

That said, given the circumstances, I wouldn't leave a bad review.

Yea well not to be an arse, but if all they are doing are take out orders, they shouldn’t get anything wrong

I picked up from blue giant last week, left them a $10 tip, and I get home and was missing an $8 item.

I’m an a-hole no matter what I do. If I call them, if I yelp or DM them. So I didn’t do anything. I want to go there again without being that dude that complained about missing some wontons when they were struggling.

Guess what tho? What they may or may not realize,.. Other people are struggling too. Now I’m out $18 in a can’t win situation. Just get my damn order right.

There’s 6 people in the kitchen, 1 working register, and 2 more answering phones. And you have no table service. It’s not rocket science.

The last two times I went to Red’s we had dishes come out that tasted like your stupid uncle’s “BBQ” where he douses the coals with lighter fluid. Really off-putting. I hadn’t been in years before those visits, so I just kinda figured the place had fallen off.

But still. Leaving a Yelp review right now is a TPOS move
