This is a thread about good butter. Do you know what butter is made from?
What uses do you have for your spent Country Crock tubs? Meemaw his cash in hers and buried it under the cherry tree out back

Just stop with the seed oils bs. I see it posted way too often like it's the devil. Yes good butter shouldn't have it in it

Kerrygold or Kirkland grass fed (green box) is the best. But we keep regular butter on hand for baking or cooking things where plain unsalted butter would be better.

Butter in general will keep going up until probably January. The Commodity markets on butter (cheese too) have taken a major hike in the last couple of months with no indication of decreasing.
European style butters like Kerrygold and Plugra are important for serious bakers.
Otherwise, just use what you like. I do recommend Plugra though, it’s very high quality and significantly cheaper than Kerrygold, though a bit harder to find.

Kerry Gold is legit if you are spreading it on some Texas toast or a roll but I don't know if I'd cook with it. We buy the cheaper stuff for that.
Same. We cook with Great Value butter from Walmart. We used Kerrygold for everything else.

Kirkland from Costco is our go to,
Same here. We get it in the four 1 lb. pack with each pound made up of the 1/4 lb. sticks.
I use a good bit of it when making homemade breads and pie crusts.
Never could stomach the taste of margarine, no matter what that long haired pitchman said when he claimed "I can't believe it's not butter".

Make your own with a stand mixer. Very easy and tastes incredible. You need heavy cream with like 40% butterfat. You also end up with buttermilk as a by product.

Imagine thinking that a premium butter should actually have seed oils in it.

The wife uses Sam's unsalted for baking and general purposes. Kerry Gold or some other premium butter is for special baked goods and other such things.
