I’m with you also. The lemming effect has taken over.
No reason to put a beer like Envie in 16 oz cans. It’s an every day decent beer.

I prefer tallboys. I even bought a 16 oz yeti style koozie last year. The company is BruMate. It holds a 16 oz can, has a little disc you can toss in the freezer, and then you can put it in the bottom and a normal 12 oz can fits, plus it had a snap in lid to use when you pour beer/coffee in there. Keeps it hot or cold. I usually drink 12 oz beers at the house, but prefer tallboys for golf/beach/pool/tailgating.

I'm with you here. The Parish fan boys will defend any decision parish makes regardless of reason. The only real answer I've seen so far is that the other breweries do it.

Doesn't make sense IMO since it's not a specialty release beer.

9.99 for 64 ounces vs 72 in bottles at my store
This can be a legit argument.

I definitely have a problem with this.

Other than that, I love a 16oz can. Nice sized for one person and splits well between two.

But Envie? Envie to me is an everyday, session type beer not in either category, and more similar to Commotion, all day IPA, holy roller as well as almost all other canned beers (or bottles) that come in 12oz to be drank mostly out of the can/bottle. Maybe i'm misclassifying Envie
You are absolutely correct.

But 16oz cans to hipsters are like truck nuts to oil guys, they cant help themselves

And can you imagine how cool it would be to shotgun 16 oz'ers of Envie...

16 oz can means I don't have to return to the fridge or ice chest as frequently

I had no idea people cared this much about can size

Exactly. Especially when you're on the beach or in the yard.

IF I had the choice, I would always chose the smallest beer can or bottle.

8oz ponies are the tits.

Its science that the smaller the bottle or the can, the frehser each ounce of beer will be

16oz of beer drinking from two 8oz ponies means the second 8oz is fresher than the second 8oz in a 16 oz beer

You keep saying “specialty releases” and im curious to what you mean by that? Almost all of my favorite breweries in the northeast release ALL their beer in pint cans, not just “specialty releases.”

Some examples of breweries
Kane
Carton
Magnify
Treehouse
Trillium
Alchemist
Bissell brothers
Other half
Singlecut

RTIC and Yeti need to step their game up. I have several of the 12 oz version that works with beer bottles and 12 oz cans, but am SOL for 16 oz beers and energy drinks

Do any of those go for 9.99 a six pack? Are you able to buy any of those in most gas stations? Are any of these beers contracted out to other companies to produce (with apparently poor quality control)?

You are comparing apples and oranges IMO

Apparently youve never been to the northeast.

Now your ignorance is showing. Ever scaled up a beer from one size batch to another?

I ordered the one I posted from BruMate last year. It was a preorder thing, but I think they are stocking most colors now. I got the gray one. But they have other colors, and a stainless one. This one has pretty much replaced all of my Yeti/RTIC ones. It can be used as a koozie or a tumbler. And it comes with the gasket to screw a can into place and the drop in lid for coffee or other drinks. As well as the little disc you freeze. Not bad for $25.

To humor and hopefully educate myself I looked at the first two websites on your list. Kane self distributes it beer only to restaurants and bars. You literally can't buy it in any store. You are able to buy Carton cans in only 15 stores in america according to their website. So like I said, seems like apples and oranges.

Show me one of those that contracts out its brewing to another facility for my education please
