Holy shite!!!! That thing was good. Had it for the first time today.
3 smoky cheese pimento & strawberry pepper jelly served on lightly grilled Texas Toast.

You clearly haven't been to Elsie's if you think it's for old people

Your response shows your age and lack of food knowledge.

Many folks don’t like pimento cheese. Many folks do. There is no age affect.

First time we’ve been there. We got:
Boudin cakes - OK, nothing special
Red bean hummus- damn good
Pimento cheese sandwich - unbelievable
Fries - Ok, nothing special
Lemon Icebox pie - very good
Coconut Cream pie - ok
Chocolate pie - ok
Almond Joy pie - ok
S’mores pie - very good

It was a little pricy, 4 soft drinks, two beers, and food above totaled $75 before tip ($90)

Sounds like a decent amount of stuff for $75. Also sounds like you’re a fatty.

You’re obviously not familiar with antique. They could have given him a 10% share in the restaurant with that bill and he’d still complain about the price.

I've been there a couple times and I've found it to be hit-and-miss. I will say that their red beans and rice is some of the best I've had.
