Im trying to find a new place to hang out tomorrow. The wife and MIL are watching the lion king at the saenger and I'll be having a few and looking for some apps to snack on before dinner at Luke. I'm usually with the wife and tend to hit the normal places and was looking for a change.

Probably just want to hang out in the CBD or quarter area. Don't necessarily want to plan on moving around too much b/c it may rain.

A buddy said there is a bar near the renaissance hotel called the renaissance? Supposed to be a dive bar maybe?

Appreciate it!

Edit: Finn mccools is out cause that shite is too far, Ryan's is out cause there is no food. Other places? Figure the district, but not my first choice to be at.

Not to be picky.... but was looking for something a little more laid back. It doesn't have to be near the theatre.

Black Penny is a short walk for a dive

Cellardoor is a bit further

Walkons if you want TVs

Wife didn't even think to ask....

Actually, I wasn't going at all... my buddy pulled the same move with his wife and kid last weekend. He told us about it and the wife said I should go with them and do the same thing then have dinner....

Can't complain about that.

Close dive bar would be Cajun Mike's. Cool laid back place, friendly bartenders and surprisingly good food.

Dominica has very good happy hour
