He posted on Facebook about going to the West Coast and how many In-N-Out Burgers he will eat. He really is the man.

they may not live up to the hype bestowed upon them, but it is a good fast food burger especially if you go off the menu

great company who takes care of their employees and has good customer service helps the reputation

if they had in them in La., i would certainly satisfy a quick burger fix ahead of well, everybody else (drive thru at least)

I'd have to meet him at the airport if he did.

Never had it. Everyone I know from the west coast talks about it like it is sent from god himself...

Im sure its good but it has to be overrated

All of that is true IMO. I'm sure it's a great company, but the way people talk about the burger is, once again IMO, over the top. It's ultimately just a fast food burger. Manage your expectations accordingly. I let mine get the better of me before I tried it.

Yeah, it is overrated in that regard but it's really good. Hands down the best fast food burger i have had.

But, order a double double. they are small, clean tasting, old fashioned burgers....not the big fat nasties that landwhales around the country love. Also, they cook fries to temp so order them well done animal style. Knowing how to order there does make a big difference.

No heat lamps, freezers, or microwqaves in the place. Everything is fresh, and the buns are the soft old fashioned sponge dough style. My preference on a burger.

I can't explain enough how much I love those things. Animal style #2 is the way to go. If you think it's overated you suck at life. It's a fast food burger. Who expects it to be gourmet?

better than most fast food alternatives, but definitely overrated

I admit the fries are an acquired taste. They need to be double-dunked in the grease IMO.

Dude, it's a good fast food burger, I will admit. However, the people I know that ate there before COMPLETELY blew it out of proportion. I knew I was going to be somewhat let down just because of all of the hype I had heard, but when you hear multiple people say it is the best burger since cows were invented then you go in expecting something pretty damn good. Service was great, staff was overly nice, the place was PACKED and they were slanging burgers so fast it would put any fast food place in a 50 mile radius of Baton Rouge to shame.

It is very overrated.......my favorite burger is from a place called Frugal's in the tacoma/seattle area. I haven't tried 5 guys yet but there is one in my area, I will eventually.

how can a fast food burger be overrated? in the end its still a fast food burger. what were yall expecting to come from a fast food restraunt? are they the best fast food burger? hell ya they are, and the poll done by consumer reports agrees with that sentiment.

Exactly what I had. Thought it was delicious, but I was fortunate enough to have never read any internet/blog/twitter/yelp/journal/myspace/facebook hype.
