You can Uber to Whip In just south of downtown. They have a good beer selection and excellent Indian food.

Bangers Sausage House & Beer Garden is pretty cool. Lots of beer from what I remember.

That's a shame, my first place in Austin was right down the street. Used to walk there all the time but haven't been back in a while.
