Question for the OT Ballers. Which Don Julio tequila y’all prefer?

DJ anejo is my go-to sipping tequila. I’ve never had 1942

Pass on the DJ.

Herradura is what you should drink.

I’ve heard that one is interesting. It’s on my list to purchase

ETA: actually it’s the codigo rosa that was recommended to me

Anejo for sure. I actually really enjoy el jimador silver for a cheap tequila

For my margaritas I take a fifth of el jim silver and soak 10 habaneros that have been cut in half for 24 hours in a pitcher. I then funnel it back into the original bottle labeled “habanero”. Makes great spicy margaritas

And the answer is 1942. DJ Anejo is very fine for sipping. If you just plan on making margs there are better options, but it's your money to spend.

My current sipper is Cazadores Anejo Cristalino. I like it for an Anejo in the under $50 range.

1942 is phenomenal. Best overall tequila I have ever had. Pricing makes it more of a special occasion. If you want something you can drink more often the Reposado is my favorite.

I think for the money, this is the best tequila.

Fortaleza is excellent. Lalo is a fantastic tequila from the grandson of Don Julio. If you’re in Texas, I’d recommend giving it a try.

I here good things about Fortaleza, but I’m pretty fond of
so I never get around to buying a bottle of Fortaleza.

My local restaurant uses a lot of Lalo. They make a special cocktail with it
