Ate at Doe's Friday Night. Arrived at 8pm, no wait.

App- Tamales with Chili, Not bad but nothing to write home about, I'm not a big Mexican food fan so take it for what it's worth

Salad- ok, add some pecorino and croutons and you might have a hit but again it's what I expected.

Steak- Ribeye, Very good. Probably the best cut and tender ribeye I have ever had, A lttile disappointed in seasoning. I wish it had a nice salt/ pepper crust on the outside. If it did it would have been better than Ruth's.

In all I enjoyed it and will go back. Steaks can be shared so it is a better value than the higher end steak houses.

maybe more food for your dollar but $44 for an average 2lb ribeye isnt anything to write home about

I can't see sharing a ribeye at Ruth's for $44. The standard 1lbs is $40 so I disagree. But that is why we have a board for feedback and opinions and I will say the FD board has been pretty spot on with reviews.

Any other steak recommendation would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty neat. You actually walk through the kitchen to get to where you sit. The waitress literally walks out with the cuts of raw meat to show you what they look like.

Oh and it's in the middle of the ghetto. Extra police on site to watch you as you are walking to your car

Are their steaks flame grilled or broiled? I much prefer grilled.

Did my due diligence and didn't start a new topic. We ate at the Doe's in downtown Fort Smith, AR. Salad was meh, bread was meh, steak was excellent. I ate every glorious ounce of my T-bone.

Jones will be along shortly to tell you that it wasn't really glorious.

I've been to that Fort smith Does. Really neat place in that old brewery building. Might be up that way in a couple weeks and will hit it again.

I like it for it is..... Took son and his girlfriend last week n br. Had 1/2 order of tamales, 2.5 lb porterhouse, tin roof and a franciscan cabernet..... Bill was around $100. Good value, imo. Plenty of food for 3 of us.

Ruth's slobs their steaks in butter. Ruins em. Has to be the most overrated steakhouse there is.

It was great. We were very pleased. I commented on it in that thread the next morning and got about another page of responses.
