Does Crawfish Seasoning Go Bad?

I have an unopened yellow bag of La Fish Fry Crawfish Seasoning from last year.. OK to use? Still pack the same punch?

Probably like any dry seasoning. Doesn't go bad but loses its potency.

Yes, spices may go bad. Light, temperature, and humidity play a large factor. An unopened bag though should be fine for a couple of years at the minimum.

Fun fact, there’s always been a lot of bacteria in spice blends. I did a study in college and found E. coli in Tony’s. Processors use irradiated spices to prevent this.

nah. I keep a 50 lb box in a plastic lug in my garage. What I do not use sits all summer until next season and it's better with age.

I've noticed cayenne pepper loses some of it's red color after it sits a while.

Yeah if you look at a bag of louisiana it has an expiration date. I've never gotten close to it though.
