Appetizer, yes. Dessert, no. I don't like sweets.

Never do apps or desert

I order both. I'm also fat.

Typically order an app. I've literally ordered 2 desserts in my life. Fried ice cream at a Mexican place bc I had never heard of it at the time, and cheesecake at Mansurs once.

It isn't unusual to order an appetizer. It depends with whom I am eating, where I am eating, and how hungry I am. If the person or people with whom I am eating don't want to share one for whatever reason, then I'm not going to eat a whole appetizer by myself. At some restaurants, the appetizers look particularly delicious, and I want to try some.

I close to never order dessert. I'm usually full by that point. It isn't important for me to save room for it.

If that's your position then save even more money. Don't eat out.

Almost always order an app. Rarely order a dessert.

Depends on the restaurant. If it's a fancy restaurant that has legitimately good gourmet coffee, I'll definitely get some.

Always an appetizer or salad. Look at dessert menu, and if I see something special, I get it and split with the wiff. For instance the Milk and Honey at Shaya.
