I like your suggestions.
Baton Rouge does not have a premier biscuit place to my knowledge.

I don’t get out for breakfast much, unfortunately. But the two times I had biscuits from district donuts they LOOKED fricking amazing…. Yet tasted like dry arse cardboard.
McDonald’s has a better biscuit.

I agree. I tried DD biscuits a few years ago. They were not good.
I do like the biscuits at Louie's, and Franks is pretty good too.

Did you ever make it to Pine St, Biscuits when you were in Portland? They were evidence that you can make good biscuits anywhere.

Don’t think so and I call bullshite on the biscuits being dry. They just are not the pull apart kind since they use them to make breakfast sandwiches.
Tad crispy on the outside if you will.

Never liked their donuts. Plain donuts with junk piled on top.

They are the worst donuts i have ever had. Coffee is good though! Top notch actually!

Calandros biscuit that comes with their breakfast box is the best biscuit in town. Its not close.

I was not a fan of their donuts but their chicken biscuit, miso praline bacon egg biscuit, and Vietnamese coffee were awesome. Their sliders/burgers for lunch were also good.
I'm moreso disappointed they are leaving because of the non-donut options that I don't see a good replacement for - plenty of other places in BR to get donuts.
