Dinner recommendations in nola
Posted by Metariemobtiger

Near girod st or close by.
Wife and I are staying in an Airbnb there and honestly don’t want to venture too far from that area.
It’s our anniversary and I’d like to take her somewhere nice Friday night, nothing too heavy, sefoood is preferred.
TIA

Emeril's is right there and is good and well known.
I like Peche as well. Ask if they have any off menu selections.
100% peche if seafood is preferred.
Your going to get a lot of smart arse nola replies here. The food board may be a better bet.

Herbsaint, Corner of St Charles and Girod.
Herbsaint
Not very expensive, and the food is awesome.

Herbsaint as mentioned. Desi Vegas Steakhouse but know you said seafood. I like Peche as well. Those are the top 3 that initially come to mind close by. Happy anniversary

Not GW Fins. I was extremely disappointed the second time we went.

Pascal's Manale would be my top choice. Away from the downtown/Bourbon crowd and has an awesome, old school New Orleans feel. Great bar and known for BBQ Shrimp.

If price is nothing, I’d go to August. I went there with the wife recently and it was around $300, but damn it was good.

Also vote Herbsaint as well.
Have heard good things about Meril, but never been myself
If you decide to go a little further, I really enjoyed Annunciation, but it's about 4-5 blocks off of Girod

There's no escape. You should've picked a better city to celebrate.
