Going to Denver with 4 couples, staying downtown near Coors field.

Casual, fun places with great fare. What y'all high prairie baws got? I love NOLA restaurants, so come strong - no Buffalo Wild Wings bullshite. Thanks!

I went to Denver years ago and had a GREAT breakfast burrito at the Denver Diner. Had pork, green chile sauce. I still think about that meal. One of the best breakfasts I ever had.

Potager
I have not eaten here, but I've received excellent reports in the past. Chef owned and operated.

Osteria Marco is one of my favorite places to go. Damn good cocktails and they do a homemade buratta that is really solid.

If you like Asian food- ChoLon is a great place- highly recommend. More of an upscale Asian place but very delicious food- try the pork buns and soup dumplings.

Rioja on Larimar is also very good.

A more casual place a short Uber drive away from Coors field is Avanti. It is more of a bar but has different food vendors throughout in separate box cars. Worth checking out even if it is just for drinks.

Acorn is one of the best in Denver. It would be a great spot for 4 people because the majority of the menu is small plates.

Returning to post about the places we ended up going to.

Fire on the Mountain - we wanted wings after we landed - good place, excellent fries, wing sauces, etc.

La Loma - loved this Mexican place - everything we ordered was excellent.

Elway's - it was in our hotel. Met a guy dressed up as Hugh Hefner and Alexis Texas. We loved Elway's - great steakhouse and the sides were awesome.

Departure - Asian fusion place. This restaurant was incredible. Very unique, service was great, food was - wow.

Overall Denver gets an A+ for restaurants and the service at every single place was friendly and helpful. Thanks to all the posters who had resc. we tried getting into Potagers but they were full and we had a party of 8.

I'll be eating lunch there in 22 days. It's a solid spot.
