For better or worse the best way to land allocated bourbon nowadays is via relationships.

I do occasionally see it on shelves, but I've found more picks than I have standard bottles in the past 2 years.

If you would've followed my posts in this thread you would've seen that I only mentioned Eagle Rare when comparing it to Weller Special Reserve, which is as rare/if not more rare than Eagle Rare.

Had a bottle of Bluff Springs this past weekend. Never tried it before but it's the same price as Bulleit and it's a blend if you're looking for something a little different than the popular labels everybody has rightfully so listed.

You can get Woodford for $25?

I picked up a $63 bottle Ranger Creek .36 Texas Bourbon. It is out of San Antonio.
It is pretty decent at 96 proof. Not as smooth as I would like for a $63 bottle. My $65 bottle of McCallan Scotch is way smoother. But the Ranger Creek is only aged 2 yrs, which is probably why. It has distinctive notes when compared to a traditional Kentucky bourbon.

Yeah. I’m referring to barrel reserve. Just realized I put barrel proof

I’m pretty sure I was looking at my Elijah Craig Barrel proof and it just felt right when I typed it.

That coopers craft is probably my favorite out of all those listed.

bnb9433, I might have to try some of their other stuff then. Definitely has a different taste side by side with other Kentucky bourbons. I think the store I bought it at had some other variants.
