Rebel Yell (now just "Rebel"?) is one of the best value brands, though it has gone up the past couple years. Used to only be about $15 for a fifth.

Elijah Craig has been mentioned and for good reason. It’s a winner.

For mixing stuff, I usually grab Old Forester either the 100 proof of lower one, depending on what my store has in stock. Decent price and I like it well enough not to spend more on Makers or something slightly higher. Of course every now and then I'll splurge on a $50 bottle to drink straight, but most of my limited drinking now is just a couple of mixers on the weekend after dinner. No reason to break the bank on that.

It's a $24.87 dust collector in Houston.
