Just left from eating lunch there.

Very disappointed to see the cook use his bare hands to grab the raw meat patties and place all of them on the grill and immediately go grab a handful of cooked fries and place them on a boat to serve without washing his hands.

It made me nauseous to see this amount of cross contamination going on with raw and cooked foods.

Terrible. Unfortunately, I’m sure it happens everywhere.

I agree it happens elsewhere. But at least try and hide it with gloves or even a handwashing station near the stovetops.

Then you go enjoy food poisoning and pass away.

If it's so bad...why are we still having to deal with your posts?

Surely the french fries must have killed you by now.

I love dearmans but I have to go there and hold my nose to the uncleanliness of the place. The milkshake station is gross, the stainless steel behind it has never been wiped. I want to shake the tubby manager/cashier and make him clean the place.

Also, the lady that works the grill eats constantly. Still a damn good burger.

Until you have been in a restaurant with an open kitchen and watched the owner/chef, wearing a wife beater tshirt have sweat dropping from his armpits unto the grill, you don't know what you are missing.

I ate at Dearmans for the first time this summer. One of the worst burgers I have had from a restaurant - not counting national fast food chains. Not sure if it was an off day but I don’t think I will ever be going back. Dry and bland burger with no flavor.

Dearman's is the Fleur de Lis of Baton Rouge burger places.

That's not a compliment.

Dearmans - haven’t heard that place mentioned here in along time. It lost its shine years ago. Fleur de Lis, however, remains a hot topic here. I personally like Fleur de Lis but haven’t been to dearmans in many years.

I ate there last week. Everything was great but it looked a bit dumpy compared to the first time I went there in the 90s

That guy has been there forever. I think he's part of the family.

The difference is Dearmans was at one time a really good place to get a burger, fries, and a milkshake. When they closed the drugstore and re-opened as just a burger place it was never the same.
Fluer de Lis pizza hasnt changed, at least as far as I can tell. Now you may think its overrated but it still taste the like the same pizza I had as a kid.

Its not my favorite but I do like Fluer de Lis. I wont go back to Dearmans. I'll go up the road to Five Guys over Dearmans.
