I usually just carry water out from my kitchen sink, but we will be boiling a lot for a boil next weekend, so that isn't an option. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but water hoses are not regulated for drinking safety
Holy

I've seen some doozies, but this is the worst crawfish boiling thread ever. And to the op, find a hobby.

Smart man
ETA: you should see the list of chemicals we spray on the rice fields where the crawfish are caught

I think OP must be the same chick as in the video that sprayed her water hose into the air, and upon seeing a rainbow, concluded that the government is adding suspicious chemicals to the water for mind control.
She probably shouldn't have any kids.

Just set up your burner and pot in your kitchen. That way you won't have to carry the water so far.

Speaking of hoses ...
I don't know how safe they are for food service, but those Zero G hoses are awesome. I got one last year for the patio, and it is so much lighter and easier to use than the traditional hose we had out there.
If you want your wife to water the plants more often, get her one of these.

I bet you also think GMOs are bad and only eat organic foods.

So just to clarify...you go to a buddy's crawfish boil, and you see him prepping the pot. You walk up and go excuse me is your garden hose lead free? If he says no clue you roll out?
All jokes aside this is weird.
I turned 41 yesterday, and can tell you out of all the crawfish boils I've been to I get yearly physicals and testing to be safe health wise, and never once has doctor gone wow you have a buildup of lead. You been to a crawfish boil recently?
All jokes aside this is weird.

No, I don't do that. I also think GMOs are fine, and I vaccinate my freaking kids. It says it right on the dang water hose that it isn't to be used for drinking and cooking, especially if pregnant. Not sure why I am considered the crazy person here. I knew I shouldn't have asked you fools. Anyway, here is an article on the levels of lead and other shite in water hoses. Drink up, but if your wife is pregnant don't be a cheap arse and buy one that is safe for drinking. LINK

Like 98% of all men who water lawn, garden, etc. I literally drink out of hoses ALL the time. Better chance of getting struck by lightning so enjoy the crawfish and don't ruin it for hubby.

I hope you are trolling! But your husband is right. You are nuttier than squirrel turds

She's not a normal woman though cause, in her defense, at least she admits it.

If you made a cup out of lead and then painted it with leaded paint, you could drink out of it two or three times a year and be fine.

I have no idea if that is true, but we've boiled crawfish 5 times over the last three months. Thanks to my kitchen water (and now my lead-free hose), I know my kids are good. ;)
I almost never post on here, and I've certainly never received 17 down votes for anything. Good lord, I must have struck a nerve with the pro-water hose crowd. Thanks to the one person who up voted me. (The other one was mine.)
Anyway, I like to think I've planted a seed in the minds of some of you down voters. The next time your pregnant wife goes to fill up the crawfish pot, you're going to offer to get water out of the kitchen. When she asks why, you're going to be all like, "Don't worry about...I just think it tastes better."

I would normally feel sorry for your husband but I don't feel sorry for cucks.

It's not good to eat that much crawfish while preggers. Crawfish are loaded with toxins that can harm the development of the brain. Why do you think so many coonasses are dumb? They were likely a fetus during crawfish season. Not to mention all the sodium can cause mutations in the baby's extremities.

I'm not pregnant. I wouldn't eat that much if I were, but plenty of folks do.

Yeah, and it doesn't sound like the fun in the sack kind, either.
