Looking for a better setup to clean crawfish before boiling. Currently using a galvanized tub to wash them off but the difficult part is emptying the dirty water. Since I usually wash them 3-4 times its a pain to empty out the water without dumping live crawfish everywhere. Have been using my pots basket to dump them in and let the water run out, then back into the tub and repeat.

Any better setups? Thought about using an icechest but thought the small drain hole might get plugged up with debris and dirty water might not drain well.

I use ice chests every time, elevated on one end, and never have any issues.

^^That's what I use, stick that inside a tub with no holes, fill, let soak, remove, dump water, repeat until clean.

For 80$ they better work pretty well! I don't like how they only take 20-30lbs of crawfish though

I purchased two large tubs from Wal Mart (sorry no pics, at work). Took a 1/2" bit and drilled numerous holes in one tub. Place in other tub, add crawfish and water and lift out crawfish, dump water and repeat until water is clear. Tubs were like $8 each and by the garbage cans.

It can wash an entire sack at a time.

While I agree with you there, you try typing in champagne basket on google and finding the basket you're looking for champagne basket google search

I think thats why retailers started calling them fish and/or shrimp baskets

I use the yeti bucket. Works perfect. Too expensive for a crawfish cleaner but works great.

I bought a plastic LSU garbage can between 30 and 40 gals and a champagne basket which fits perfectly inside of the garbage can. I cut several medium size holes a few inches below the top of the can. I installed 3 ice chest drain plugs at the bottom.

I place the basket inside of the can and begin filling with water. when 1/2 full I dump in the crawfish but let the water continue to run. The water overflows thru the holes at the top without allowing the crawfish to escape.

Using a paddle I stir the crawfish, picking out dead ones and debris. After 30 minutes I cut off the water and open the drain plugs. After drained I close plugs and repeat the process. When the water is drained a second time I simply pick up basket out of garbage can and pour in boiling water.

I would post a picture but don't know how.

Some people are way overthinking this. An ice chest already has a drain. No reason to own any special "crawfish cleaning device" unless you're boiling many sacks in one day. Even still, I'll do 5 sacks in a day and a 120 qt ice chest works absolutely fine.
