If you think that someone asking you whether you'd prefer pour over or french press instead of assuming you want shitty drip coffee,

It is possible to have good drip coffee. I use my drip pot 90% of the time. It just requires a little more tuning than a French press. If I'm a half a TEAspoon off in either direction, and it tastes wierd.

French press is fresh brewed. Drip is not.

Also, a pour over is fresh dripped.

Better than the brown water most people call coffee. Lasts longer than a couple shots of espresso.

Magpie hands down. Go and order a cappuccino. Made with perfection because they know what the hell they are doing.

I don't go to coffee shops anymore because all I fricking want is a goddam cup of coffee with a little milk and sugar in it. I ask for a cup of coffee and they're like "what do you want". A fricking cup of coffee you liberal hackjob! Not a liquid dessert. Pour some regular coffee into a cup, add a little milk, little bit of sugar, and stir. That's what I fricking want. Hold the fricking judgement.

If you can’t get a plain cup of coffee at any of the places listed than you are retarded. I stop at any and all of them and I get a dark roast coffee black with a couple Splendas. Just because you have some predisposed vision of a coffee shop doesn’t mean you are correct. You are quite wrong.

And I do have Community Dark Roast at Home and make at least two pots of it a day as well.

Charlie’s Coffee FTW!! Damn shame that place closed. It was my go-to for late night studying 2003-2006.

do. But I'm not angry here. It just blows my mind that coffee shops don't offer a regular cup of coffee. If you go in and ask for something that doesn't sound like some fat millennial college dropout created it, you get looked at like you're fricking retarded.

I go to coffee shops nearly every day and order a regular cup of coffee. I am never asked what else I might want instead or what I would like to add. I am never looked at as if I am retarded.

Agree 100%. The problem is him.

I also don’t turn my coffee into a ”frou frou” drink by adding milk and sugar.

sipping on a cup of drip coffee from District Donuts right now. Not sure what blend or roast they use but its damn good for a "plain old drip" cup. I know they use Stumptown beans which are pretty high quality.

Wish Cafeciteaux was more widely available. They make a great product.

You dumb. Nothing like a good coffee thread to get the rednecks triggered.

I think it's pretty well established that he is.

It's not that hard to order a dark roast.
