Hey me too. If you haven't had it yet, the one at Bldg5 is awesome. I had it for the first time this past weekend. Swapped out the ciabatta it comes on for the multigrain bread so it was closer to CP's version.

Bldg 5 is my least favorite restaurant in the whole world
They have like one meat thing. I’m not sure what they call it on the menu but it’s like a slab of beef fat on bread with lettuce. If you’re gonna be a vegan restaurant just put it on the sign. Don’t put like one meat thing on the menu and do it poorly to try to appease regular people
I’ve also heard “the big guy” is involved with bldg 5

Although, I can't see your particular gripe, the dinner menu of this place does seem like an awful lot of work for someone just wanting to get something to eat. Jeesh!

I like BLDG5 but the with the menu they have the counter service model there is brutal when it’s crowded

When I went Saturday at lunch we had a server. I hadn't been in over a year before that, so unsure the normal protocol.
Bldg5's style of food isn't always what I'm craving, but it's the perfect place when someone wants to get lunch/dinner and you don't want to consume a bunch of fried/unhealthy stuff. I actually like how vegetable forward the menu is, as I feel like so many places don't offer nearly enough vegetable dishes.

another thing, it blows my mind that you would order bbq anywhere in LA much less a sandwich based restaurant. to be that short sighted is one thing but to bitch about it on here like karen on yelp is another. you probably order steak at applebees. stick to your posts about picking baw.

This Louisiana not having good barbecue schtick needs to go. We may not have an authentic Texas bbq joint, but you can find bbq worth enjoying.

Don’t consider the Jefferson location a sandwich shop, the Perkins location in closed.

You've obviously not been to City Pork on Jefferson because it is not a sandwich shop but a full-service, sit down restaurant that doesn't have counter service either.

I went once or twice. I found the meat boards to be very dry and bland.
