Ummm make your own main dish. How hard is that.

You really wouldn't find it awkward to bring a main dish to someone else's home where they have prepared a main?? That's kinda unhinged especially if it's not asked for.

I fricking hate ham, but I don't bring a plate of prime rib to a house when I hear they are serving a ham

We alway do traditional Thanksgiving meal but several years ago we decided to start changing it up for Christmas. Last year we did Pastalaya, meat pies, and boudin. This year smoked a brisket and couple racks of ribs with smoked baked beans, smoked jalapeño popper Mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole.

Homemade sausage balls, cheese straws and orange snowballs for treats.

For lunch nothing beats the anticipation of cooking up a prime rib.

Everything else I just go with the flow.

Standing rib roast. It’s a must have.

I cook this every year. Horseradish sauce, chimichuri, potatoes. It just doesn’t do it for me. Everyone loves it. I don’t.

Subprime rib is pretty good, too. It generates a great deal of interest.
