I try to get (haven't tried making yet) a Christmas pudding every year.

I make an acini de pepe salad. It's bright, citrusie, and sweet.

I don't like making desserts, but we usually have at least one or two creme de menthe pies, along with other things like bread pudding, pecan pie and cheesecake.

Christmas Eve is usually a tray of peanut butter blossoms, almond crescents, and chocolate covered cherries. Christmas Day is usually spiced applesauce apple pie or apple cake. My grandmother used to make an apple cake, a spiced rum cake, and orange rum balls.

MiL always makes carrot cake. The warm spices are perfect for this time of year.

Once made a vanilla-brown butter cheesecake with gingersnap crust. That would compliment the yuletide.

You know how people say the test of a true chef is making a good roast chicken?

Apple pie, my man. It seems easy but a good one made well is rare.

Irish coffee and apple pie after a holiday dinner is what you want.

French cream is a Christmas staple

French Cream Mold

We’ve never served it with fruit, but it goes great on top of pumpkin or sweet potato pie in place of whipped cream. Reminds me of Creole Cream Cheese Ice Cream.

I make Cheese Cake. There are other desserts present, but the Cheese Cake usually goes first.
